CAN YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING!!!!

So we have been working on the science fair every evening for about 3 weeks.  It was actually assigned in November...  My first clue of the pain it was gonna be was when they had a parent meeting.  One of the first things they said to us was "This is going to be a parent/student project. I should have ran for the hills then.  So my son decided to pick a topic that I did not think was a good choice for him.  But as I was reading the packet they gave us (which was about a million pages) it said to let your student pick something of interest to them.  So we began the science fair project on : Which Dessert Melts the Quickest: Ice Cream, Sorbet, or Frozen Yogurt.  Halfway through my son tells me he just could not get into his project....HELLO!!! DUH!!! I tried to tell him that in the beginning.   So we changed it to: How does the brand of toothpaste affect its cleaning power.  He enjoyed that a lot better!! Fast forward to yesterday...They had the science fair at his school.  I was talking to one of the teachers and she told me that this year the district changed the science fair guidelines.  The major one being : ALL STUDENTS GRADES 3-6 ARE R E Q U I R E D TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCIENCE FAIR!!!!  WHAT?!? (mind you this came out as a shout!!!)  I have to go through this 3 more times??? And by then it will be baby girls turn!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING!!!  All that said I am very proud of my son's hard work...but is it bad to hope he does not make it to district? The results will be announced tomorrow....PRAY for ME!!
