Picture Day
Today was Picture Day at Baby Girl's School. Last night I told her she needed to go to bed early because I did not want her crying in the morning. You see she cries every single morning. She begs me not to send her. She says we are best friends and we should spend the day together. Usually about this time her brothers come in and cheer her up. We usually manage to make it down the street from her school before she starts to cry again. Then when I take her in she is still crying. And I am not talking about a few tears here and there. She cries a whole river, holds on to my leg and then starts screaming "Please mommy I am your best friend." Needless to say mornings are really tuff. Thankfully, there is a teachers aid who calls me and sends me pictures of her throughout the day. She is only crying when I drop her off because during the day she is always all smiles and when I pick her up she tells me she loves school and her teacher and that she is never going to cry again. But then...morning comes...and so do the tears!
Today I went in her room to wake her up and she popped up and asked "Is Today picture day?" and I said "yes" so she went on to inform me that she wanted her hair to be "princessy" (that is what she calls it really) I told her ok let me see what I can do. So I fixed her hair and then she asked me "Where are my curls?" I said "What?" She said "Mommy princessy hair has curls" So I whip the curling iron out curl her hair put hair spray sprinkles the whole nine yards and off we go. We get down the street from the school and NO TEARS!!! We get to the door and NO TEARS! and I said "I am really proud of you for being a big girl and not crying!" Her response to that was " Mommy I am not going to cry today because then my pictures would look ugly and I am a princess" Can you believe that? I am going to have to inform them at the school that they will have to make every day picture day!!
