Quick Meal Monday
Today I decided to make Salisbury Steak. I have never made or eaten it before. It was my husbands request. After researching it I decided to give it a shot. First, let me start off by saying I do not like mushrooms, so I made my version with no mushrooms. If you like them I am sure they can be easily added to this recipe.
You will need:
1 pack Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 1/2 lb ground chuck
1/2 c dry bread crumbs
2 cups water
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard
steak seasoning (whatever you season your meat with)
chopped garlic and onion to taste
1 egg
In a bowl I placed the meat, egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 of soup mix, worcestershire sauce, chopped garlic and onion, mustard, and seasonings. I mixed it all together.
Then I formed 6 patties.
In a separate bowl I mixed the flour water and remaining soup mix.
I placed the patties in a pan on Medium heat and seared both sides.
Then I placed them in a foiled lined baking dish and poured the soup mix over them.
I covered it with foil. I put it in the oven on 350 for 30 minutes. I removed the foil for the last 5 minutes.
